Why We Solicit Support
Dusty Feet has built a foundation based on producing sustainable projects. Partners have agreed to unite with Dusty Feet because we are sustainability oriented. Models, which are dependent on continuous cash flow, seem to be somewhat inefficient. When a project is sustained by donor dollars, the project is held captive by outside support. When a project is build by donor dollars and sustained within the local community, change can occur. If you are considering partnering with Dusty Feet, but you are perplexed by the idea of a sustainable organization asking for funding, consider our model.
If we build one project, which is sustainable, we will never need to solicit funding from individuals like you again. If we build only one project we believe we will limit our organization to the possible effect we could have on society. Instead of creating one project, our goal is to create multiple projects throughout East Africa. Once one project is built, we will work to reach sustainability. When the project is sustainable Dusty Feet is relieved of the financial obligation to the project. Once we are relieved from the financial obligation, we will begin a new project. Theoretically, we can build hundreds of projects without a requiring a monthly budget of one million dollars.
We are asking for your involvement to fulfill our goal to develop as many sustainable projects as possible. We will consistently solicit support because we know what we are capable of. With your partnership, we can create projects aimed to change communities living in slum and war-torn areas. With the partnership of the individuals we are working with in Africa, we can sustain projects; which will continue to enrich society.
